High Quality Apertures for Medical Endoscopes

The smallest aperture size we’re able to resolve is about 2um. Typical substrates inclue N-BK7, B270, D263, fused silica, and sapphire, but we can use other specified material as well. Typical aperture coating utilizes our proprietary black chrome: Very durable, low reflecting in visible with Rave <5% , OD > 4.0. Pinhole free. Excellent edge acuity and accuracy (± 1um). We can also deposit other required materials such as high reflective protected aluminum, gold, etc.

• Glass thickness: Minimum we can handle is ~ 0.10 mm thickness
• Requirements: Most endoscopy aperture customers requires AR coatings on both surfaces. We often utilitize low-scatter BBAR <1% Rave in visible, but we can address our customers’ needs on a project by project basis.
