The following are some skill sets that will be utilized and this experience is highly recommended:

  • Expertise in microscopy.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with optics (glass, quartz, ZnSe, sapphire, etc.) including validation of all dimensional measurements, surface quality, flatness, etc.
  • Anti-reflection coating inspections.
  • Experience working with/inspecting chrome, aluminum, gold, and other evaporated metal coatings.
  • Ability to precisely measure pattern features (down to 1µm features) and pattern centricity.
  • Ability to read and fully understand customer specifications for both substrate and pattern requirements [MIL-SPEC, ISO Standards].
  • Quality assurance documentation.
  • Maintaining quality records.
  • Perform incoming inspections on substrate material.
  • Manage customer audits.
  • Perform calibrations and preventive maintenance activities for equipment assigned to the QA department.
  • Knowledgeable in various inspection techniques, including visual inspection (using a microscope), performing variable and attribute mechanical/dimensional measurements, and optics inspection.
  • Responsible for completion of all quality related customer surveys and documentation.
  • Review, disposition, and process RMAs.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus and see colors. May involve prolonged periods of magnified inspection.
